EQUIPMENT RENTALS:

For larger orders with a replacement value of $5,000 or more we have to ask for production insurance with:

  1. One Million Dollar Commercial General Liability Coverage or greater

  2. Inland Marine or Rented Equipment Coverage with a limit that is high enough to cover the complete replacement of the equipment that you are renting.

For smaller order with a replacement value of $5,000 or less we do not require production insurance. The renter will still be responsible for any loss or damage.

VEHICLE RENTALS:

In order to rent one of our vehicles we are required to ask for production insurance with:

1. One Million Dollar Commercial General Liability Coverage or greater

2. Inland Marine or Rented Equipment Coverage with a limit that is high enough to cover the complete replacement value of the equipment that you are renting.

3. Non owned and Hired Auto Coverage or Any Auto Coverage

Unfortunately our insurance company will not allow personal auto insurance to cover any of our commercial vehicles.

STUDIO RENTALS:

We can rent our studio out to small productions that don’t have production insurance but a waiver form must be signed by every crew member including all producers and talent that enter our lot.

For any large production that is filming in our studio or on our campus we need to ask for production insurance with:

1. One Million Dollar Commercial General Liability Coverage or greater

2. Inland Marine or Rented Equipment Coverage with a limit that is high enough to cover the complete replacement value of the equipment that you are renting.

3. Workers Compensation

HOW DOES PRODUCTION INSURANCE COVER EQUIPMENT DAMAGE:

If equipment gets broken, lost or stolen and you are insured, the renter will be responsible for the deductible:

de·duct·i·ble

dəˈdəktəb(ə)l/ noun

NORTH AMERICAN

  1. (in an insurance policy) a specified amount of money that the insured must pay before an insurance company will pay a claim.

"a traditional insurance policy with a low deductible"

After you, the renter, pays the deductible - for example you pay the first $1,000 of a $10,000 loss - your insurance company will pay the remaining - $9,000.

If you are not insured, you are responsible for all replacement costs or repairs.

COMMERCIAL GENERAL LIABILITY COVERAGE:

A commercial general liability (CGL) policy is a standard insurance policy issued to business organizations to protect them against liability claims for bodily injury (BI) and property damage (PD) arising out of premises, operations, products, and completed operations; and advertising and personal injury (PI) liability.
